The Honors College fosters an environment for motivated students to enhance their spirit of inquiry, intellectual growth, multi-cultural awareness, and leadership opportunities. Honors College graduates exemplify a high-level of scholarship and are well-prepared to graduate and continue their education at a four-year college or university.

Our admissions process is holistic, and we consider students’ academic and non-academic achievements, as well as their aspirations. We will support you every step of the way as you work toward your academic, transfer, and career goals.

Typically, Honors College applicants are:

Motivated and seeking a more personalized academic experience
Planning to transfer to a four-year college or university
Recent high school graduates with a GPA of 3.2 or higher
Current Ivy Tech, transfer, or guest students with less than 36 college credits and a GPA of 3.2 or higher
Looking for an enhanced learning experience at Ivy Tech and increased interaction with like-minded peers and faculty
Are not currently pursuing a health science pathway or nursing degree
